Blancfixe acts as a high-performance functional filler and spacer pigment in plastics, improving gloss, opacity, whiteness, color brilliance, and pigment dispersion while enhancing thermo-mechanical properties, scratch resistance, and dimensional stability. It also provides sound dampening properties in acoustic pipe applications.
Blancfixe grades are available in ultra-fine submicron particle sizes. Basofix-P® offers an average particle size (D50) of 0.5–0.9 µm, while Precipitated Barium Sulphate grades are available with D50 of 0.8–1.2 µm for excellent dispersion and processing performance.
Blancfixe acts as a spacer pigment in color masterbatches, helping improve pigment dispersion, color strength, gloss, opacity, and brilliance. It also enables partial replacement of TiO₂ and costly pigments while maintaining excellent surface finish and processing stability.
