About Precipitated Silica

Produced through a controlled precipitation process to achieve high surface area, fine particle structure and consistent functional performance, Precipitated Silica is widely used as a reinforcing, thickening, anti-caking and performance-enhancing mineral across rubber, coatings, polymers, adhesives and other industrial formulations. Its porous structure and surface activity help improve reinforcement, rheology, dispersion and surface characteristics. In rubber compounds, it contributes to mechanical strength and wear resistance, while in coatings and adhesive systems it supports viscosity control, suspension stability and formulation consistency.

Frequently Asked Questions

Important information about Precipitated Silica, grades and applications.

FMSIL is primarily used as a matting agent in paints and coatings to achieve desired gloss reduction and enhance transparency.

It controls viscosity, prevents pigment settling, and improves the paint’s texture and durability, resulting in a smooth and even finish.

FMSIL is widely used in industrial coatings, automotive coatings, wood finishes, and powder coatings.

The FMSIL Series includes FMSIL 112, FMSIL 412, and FMSIL 412 PLUS, each designed for different matting requirements.

Yes, FMSIL can be formulated for both solvent-based and water-based coating systems with appropriate dispersion techniques.
