1. Washed Kaolin Clay

Kaolin is a chemical inert, crystalline, platy structured – hydrated aluminum silicate mineral, can give good barrier properties in sealants by creating a complicated path to protect the material that has been sealed. 20 MICRONS is one of the largest producer of various grade of washed kaolin clay at Bhuj manufacturing facility, located at western part of India mainly for Paint, Paper, Polymer, Pesticides, Adhesive – Sealant & Ceramic Industries.

Rheology of the formulation is an important properties in Sealants and Adhesive, both for producer and the end users. The requirements may be different and carefully selected kaolin product with a suitable particle size and distribution can be used to control both low and high shear viscosities during production, application and post application. The choice of kaolin will be very dependent on the customers formulation.

2. Calcined Kaolin

Calcined Kaolin is an anhydrous aluminium silicate produced by heating natural kaolin to high temperatures in a specially designed rotary kiln. The calcination process increases whiteness and hardness, improves thermal properties and modify the size and shape of the kaolin particles.

Calcined kaolin is a viable clay option in moisture-sensitive applications and provides dependable reinforcement in various types of adhesive and sealant formulations.

3. Natural Barytes & Synthetic Barium Sulphate

Barium Sulphate plays a vital role in adhesive and sealant because of its bulking properties in application like Epoxy Sealant, PU & Joint compound etc.

Synthetic Barium Sulphate is having a better oil absorption holding nature which supports to get desired viscosity in epoxy sealants and Joint compound etc, also it enhance the thermo mechanical properties.

4. TALC

Naturally occurring hydrophobic, platy structured mineral improves reinforcement & stiffness to the end product. Further being chemically inert powder, helps to improve water resistance, chemical resistance and general weatherability. Talc increase the non-Thixotropic viscosity, betters resistance to cracks, dimensional stability and shrink resistance in epoxy sealant, joint compound & automotive putties.

5. Silica

Silica products are majorly used to reap its abrasive benefits. The low moisture absorbing and heat resistant’s properties make it an ideal filler to increase durability of epoxy flooring, deck coating and tile adhesive etc.

6. Hydroxylgel

Chemically modified inorganic thickener used Thixotropic agent, stabilizer and anti settling agent. It helps in controls system flow and consistency, ensuring optimal distribution of solvents, fillers and other components; It is widely used in Epoxy adhesives, Sealants and mastics.

7. ALFR

Aluminium Trihydrate provides flame retardancy and smoke suppression. ALFR will remain stable at high temperature sensitive application.
