Water borne latex paints are complicated systems and they contain several different ingredients such as thickener, latex, dispersing agent, pigment, surfactants etc. New Generation Calcium carbonate by 20 Microns Nano minerals offers a unique solution for boosting GLOSS while optimizing formulation cost. Calcium Carbonate will either enhance coating performance at equal formulation cost or reduce formulation cost while maintaining performance level of the coating film.



VAPORGLOSS 90 boost the gloss of water based paint which can not be achieved by normal calcium carbonate. VAPORGLOSS 90 is designed to boost performance of pigments such as TiO2 in a wide range of gloss level. Very fine particle size & particle size distribution of VAPORGLOSS 90 supports the pigment performance in terms of high gloss and low haze. Finer particles of VAPORGLOSS 90 exhibit excellent dispersibility in both water and solvent base paint/ ink formulation, which results in lower formulation cost. VAPORGLOSS 90 enhance the physical properties like ink receptivity, smoothness & gloss.

Paints : It is commonly used in a number of paint and coating applications. It is used as an extender, an agent to enhance gloss, an extender / spacer for titanium dioxide, a rheology modifier and as a paint and coating additive to densify the product.

Ink : It shows a high diffuse consistent reflection of light providing a pure white that assists to retain the innovative brilliance and tone of colors blended with it. It is used chiefly in paste ink while its propensity to matte down can be protected by the resin solids of ink system. With our advanced machinery, we are able to manufacture the finest particles, which are suitable for liquid ink manufacturing. As CaCO3 has the highest density of extender it can be added to inks without affecting its printing quality.

Paper : Calcium carbonate is used in paper mill as a filler material in the alkaline papermaking process. Now a days Calcium carbonate dominant over other papermaking filler materials; though at the first stage of papermaking kaolin was 1st choice. The main reason behind the preference of calcium carbonate is the demand for brighter and bulkier paper.
There are significant benefits to the use of calcium carbonate in the alkaline papermaking process. But Calcium Carbonate filler is unsuitable in acid papermaking and wood-containing paper.
